In the capital, a new personalized approach to treatment has been developed for patients with oncological diseases who have high risks of cardiovascular complications during specialized treatment. For this purpose, the first city cardio-oncology center was opened in the capital in pilot mode at the S.S. Yudin City Clinical Hospital. This was reported by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova.

"WITH 2019 For years we have been working on creating a framework for cancer care in the capital, we use modern and innovative technologies, We closely monitor the quality of work of anchor clinics, however there are aspects, which still require some improvement. The pilot opening of the first city cardio-oncology center at the Central Oncology Center is our next big step in implementing the new standard of oncological care.. They are already selecting a personalized treatment strategy for each cancer patient with cardiac complications and conducting their timely diagnosis and treatment.. Since chemotherapy has a very strong effect on the functioning of the heartvascular system, It is important not only to cure the patient from oncology, but also to minimize the risks of complications of concomitant diseases. The project will be expanded in the future., The offices of cardiologists and functional diagnostics doctors of the cardio-oncology center will be opened on the premises of other outpatient oncology care centers", — the deputy mayor reported.

The Cardiology Center of the Yudin City Clinical Hospital operates in two outpatient oncology care centers (OCC) of the Oncology Center No. 1 of the S.S. Yudin Hospital.

When referring a patient with suspected malignancy to the Central Oncology Center, a polyclinic doctor assesses the initial risk of cardiovascular complications. This requires studying the anamnesis and conducting a number of control studies, such as ECG, ECHO-CG, and others. If a high risk is detected, the patient receives a personalized approach to determining treatment tactics in the oncology center, taking into account concomitant cardiovascular pathology.

The center's specialists create a personalized patient monitoring plan, adjust therapy taking into account existing diseases and risks of their development. This allows maintaining high efficiency of antitumor therapy with strict control of its safety. The city cardiology center employs experienced and highly qualified specialists, cardiologists and functional diagnostics doctors. They accept patients with concomitant cardiovascular diseases, as well as patients with a high risk of their development against the background of the main treatment. Treatment tactics are discussed jointly by an oncologist and a cardiologist within the framework of a multidisciplinary consultation, which allows for an accurate assessment of oncological and cardiological risks.

To improve the quality of specialized medical care, unique educational programs and advanced training courses for cardiologists, therapists, general practitioners and oncologists are being implemented at the personnel center of the Moscow Department of Health. The focus of the training is the assessment of potential risks and safety of various cancer treatment regimens depending on the state of the patient's cardiovascular system. At the same time, specialists have the opportunity to exchange experiences by participating in the discussion of clinical cases. Information events and scientific and practical conferences devoted to the problems of cardio-oncology are planned to be held at the cardio-oncology center.

A new standard of oncological care has been developed in In 2019. More, than in three years the city has created a fundamentally new structure for providing oncological care. To date, five anchor oncology hospitals have been identified in Moscow. All technological and human resources are concentrated in one placeEach anchor hospital includes a pathomorphological laboratory, outpatient oncology care centers, 24-hour hospital. This allows us to organize a full cycle of diagnostics and treatment on one site - from verification of the disease to receiving qualified treatment., until subsequent dispensary observation. This reduces the time it takes to make a diagnosis., its accuracy increases, and treatment starts faster. In medical organizations of the Moscow healthcare system, client paths are in place - a detailed algorithm for routing patients with suspected malignant neoplasms, including a description of the list of studies and target dates for their completion. This made it possible to form a rating of oncology hospitals.
