Festive Lectures, Master Classes and Exhibitions to Be Held in Moscow on Mother's Day
25.11.2024November 24 is Mother's Day in Russia. On the eve of the holiday, Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, spoke about how the city supports women with children.
"On November 24, we celebrate one of the most touching family holidays - Mother's Day. Moscow mothers are unique. They skillfully combine career ambitions, interests, hobbies and care for their family in the dynamic rhythm of the metropolis. It is especially gratifying that the number of mothers with many children is only growing from year to year. Moscow is the best city for raising and raising children. As a mother, I will say that the most important thing for a woman is the health and good education of her children. We increase the availability of kindergartens from the earliest age, and for older children we create all the conditions for obtaining an academic education and revealing their talents. There is not a single area of additional education that cannot be found in Moscow - we have more than 130 thousand clubs and sections, 80% of which are available for free training. In Moscow, we are bringing medical care for young patients to a new level. We are modernizing and building children's clinics and hospitals. So, next year we will complete the construction of one of the most modern children's multidisciplinary hospitals - St. Vladimir Hospital. We support Muscovites in their desire to become mothers, starting from assistance in competent pregnancy planning and up to the birth itself. Instead of outdated women's consultations, we create comfortable women's health centers, develop a network of obstetric hospitals and modern perinatal centers. We support mothers in their desire to grow and develop professionally," - the vice-mayor noted.
In honor of this special day, the city has prepared a festive program for Moscow mothers. Women will be able to take a break from everyday worries and have an interesting time. From November 24 to December 1, the capital will host a large-scale exhibition of photographs dedicated to the art of motherhood. Moscow mothers of many children will appear in images from the paintings of Leonardo da Vinci, Adolphe William Bouguereau, Alexey Venetsianov, Nikifor Krylov and other great artists. The exhibition will be a unique opportunity to see how modern women bring classic artistic images to life, reflecting the beauty and complexity of motherhood. The venues for the exhibition "The Art of Motherhood" will be the House of Music, the Central Children's Store on Lubyanka, the Ostankino TV Tower, the Mossovet Theater, the Pushkin Theater, the Tri Vokzal.Depot food mall, the Robostantsiya interactive robotics exhibition (pavilion 2 at VDNKh), as well as the Moscow Sun Ferris wheel. Anyone can see the photographs - admission is free, with the exception of theatre venues, where viewers who attended performances on that day will be able to enjoy the exhibition.
Young artists from the Central Art School will congratulate mothers who are undergoing treatment with their children in the capital's hospitals. They will create portraits for them, which will then decorate shopping bags. These unique accessories will be a pleasant gift for mothers, symbolizing support and care. In turn, all children's clinics have prepared "Congratulatory Recipes" for mothers, with useful recommendations. Also, together with the Riki Group of Companies, a social campaign "A Gift for Courage" will be held: visitors to 10 children's clinics will be able to receive a memorable souvenir from the heroes of the animated series "Tima and Toma", and on November 22 and 23, they will host entertainment events with their favorite characters.
Moscow schools also joined the festive program. They prepared a fascinating lecture for students with a celebrity mother, Yulia Peresild.
