Vice Mayor Rakova spoke about the birth of 60 children in Moscow on New Year's Eve
09.01.2025On New Year's Eve, employees of the capital's maternity hospitals and perinatal centers helped 60 children come into the world. As on any other day, experienced specialists from the city's obstetrics and gynecology service monitored and cared for the health of mothers and babies. This was reported by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova.
"New Year has always been and remains a magical family holiday, this is the time when all the most cherished desires come true, when we believe and hope that in the future all our dreams will certainly come true. It was on this New Year's Eve that some were lucky enough to receive the most important and valuable gift: from December 31 to January 1, 60 babies were born in the capital's maternity hospitals and perinatal centers, including 28 boys and 32 girls. The last baby in 2024 was born in the Perinatal Center of City Clinical Hospital No. 31 named after G.M. Savelyeva, a child whose weight was 4140 grams, just a little, only 16 minutes, did not last until the chimes. The first in 2025, at 00:09, a baby was born weighing 3380 grams, the birth was taken in Maternity Hospital No. 1 at City Clinical Hospital named after F.I. Inozemtsev. All children are currently resting with their mothers, and their well-being and health are being looked after by experienced specialists, including midwives, nurses and doctors.”, — the deputy mayor said.
Thanks to the high qualifications of the staff of the capital's obstetrics and gynecology service, neonatologists, anesthesiologists and resuscitators, as well as the equipping of perinatal centers and maternity hospitals with the latest effective equipment, all conditions have been created in Moscow so that mothers and newborns can receive the necessary medical care in the shortest possible time in the most comfortable conditions.
A new standard of obstetric and gynecological care, developed with the participation of leading specialists, is being introduced in the capital. Within its framework, Women's Health Centers, modern specialized clinics for providing high-quality and affordable care to women, who can now receive a wide range of treatment and diagnostic procedures in one place, are being opened in the structure of multidisciplinary hospitals. In addition, the first client-based pregnancy management path was introduced. Also, a unique program to support reproductive health was launched for residents of the capital and the Moscow region in September of this year. This is a special set of examinations and procedures that will help women plan a pregnancy: find out their egg reserve and determine how capable the body is of conception. If necessary, it will be possible to use additional reproductive technologies.
In all maternity hospitals of the Moscow Department of Health, parents who have decided on the name of the baby can receive a birth certificate of the child immediately upon discharge. They are assisted in this by employees of the My Documents government service centers. In addition to providing assistance at all stages, mothers receive a necessary set for the newborn as a gift, which includes 44 items.
Also, in 12 children's hospitals, maternity hospitals and perinatal centers of the capital, mothers of newborns have access to video broadcasting from the intensive care unit, which allows them to connect video surveillance of their child's crib if he or she is in the intensive care and pathology department of a Moscow hospital. To access video surveillance, you must use the electronic medical record (EMR) on the mos.ru portal or in the EMIAS. INFO mobile application. To connect, mothers need to contact the head of the department or the attending physician, who will decide to start the broadcast, and also open access to the EMR, if this has not yet been done. In addition, mothers will be able to provide temporary access to the online broadcast to other family members.
