Deputy Mayor Rakova reported on the digitalization of all hospitals and clinics in the capital
17.12.2024Since this year, all hospitals and city clinics in the capital have become fully digital. Paper medical records and journals have been replaced by computers and special tablets, which every doctor and nurse has. This was reported by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova.
"Digitalization is penetrating all spheres of our lives. Even such a complex and conservative one as medicine. If we want to be world leaders, we simply cannot lag behind this process, not be at its forefront. Therefore, for many years we have been actively engaged in the digitalization of all medical processes and the introduction of artificial intelligence. Since this year, all Moscow hospitals and clinics operate exclusively in a digital format. This means that doctors no longer have paper medical records and journals. But every doctor and every nurse has a tablet and a laptop, where all medical information flows," — the deputy mayor said.
Anastasia Rakova noted that digitalization makes it possible to make the healthcare system as transparent as possible. That is, as soon as a person is admitted to hospital, their medical record or medical history becomes immediately available to both the doctor and the patient. To date, Muscovites have accessed their medical records more than 16 million times while in hospital.
