Placement of a defibrillator in GAUZ "SP No. 35 DZM"

In GAUZ "SP No. 35 DZM", in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation No. 786n dated July 31, 2020, two automatic defibrillators (PRIMEDIC HeartSave 6 (M250) are placed in special wall-mounted storage boxes equipped with an alarm. The office of a dentist-surgeon was chosen for placement and entrance group.

A defibrillator is a device used in medicine for electropulse therapy of severe cardiac arrhythmias. Patients suffering from heart rhythm disorders or coronary disease often find themselves in the dentist's chair. Therefore, it is extremely important to provide immediate medical assistance in emergency situations.

Distinguish:
- Defibrillators for professional use, which include an ECG monitor, a non-invasive blood pressure measurement module, a saturation sensor and are actually a portable resuscitation monitor.
- Automatic defibrillators installed in dental clinics. The devices themselves evaluate the ECG, the effectiveness of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation and provide graphic and voice instructions to the rescuer.
- Implantable automatic defibrillators-cardioverters.

If until now it was the task of ambulance doctors, anesthesiologists-resuscitators and intensive care teams to defibrillate the victim, then from January 1, dentists will also join them. This is the first step of dentistry into emergency medicine.

The algorithm for conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation using a defibrillator was trained by the entire medical staff of our clinic on the basis of a new personnel center by the Moscow Health Department. For convenience, the equipment is accompanied by instructions for using the device.
